1 Down 14 to go!

We're done for today! What an exciting morning! Lilly had a great night sleep. Me not so much. Thought I was turning on the radio but I guess I set the alarm. Then couldn't figure out how to shut it off and keep it off! But this morning was beautiful in KC. Lots of sun! Doesn't that just make everything better?

Today was a lot of evaluations to see where she is before starting. Tiffany, her therapist, was encouraged at the beginning of the session. She was REALLY encouraged by the end! We didn't get to start the suit therapy today. Dr stuff wasn't in order and I spent most of the morning on the phone! Frustrating but it's taken care of. So Lilly did a lot of traditional therapy but used some different equipment. They put her in a "gait trainer", kind of like a walker with support. She protested but in her protests she actually picked up her feet and took steps!! She was in the spider cage doing some standing on her own. They bungee her in this huge cage and the bungees take some of her weight. She loved that! Got to bounce a lot. They also used some arm splints to help her keep them locked while on her hands and knees. This will come as no surprise to her therapists, but she hated it! But here's the shocker...she liked being prone and up on her hands. No tears!! We did some walking again at the end and Tiffany thinks there is some great potential in her.

Lastly, Lilly and I made a friend today. This little girl is a little older than Lilly and they loved to watch each other during therapy. I think it was Lilly's protests and cries that caught her attention. Her mother is very friendly and we hit it off. They are staying in the same building as us and we're going to meet for dinner tonight. I tell you more about them when I have their permission. Lilly's sacked out! She has been a trooper! I'll post some pics and I'll try and work on the video! Have a great night!!
