Went Diving Today...

Good afternoon! Lilly is all done and out like a light! I think I could be but afraid I won't sleep tonight. We started the morning off @ 8:00 with hyperbaric therapy(HBOT). Very interesting....never done anything like that before! I put a couple of pictures to give you an idea of what I'm talking about. Also, if you go to the links at the bottom left of the page you can see better pics. We had strict rules of what to do and not; like no hairspray, 100% cotton clothes, no lotions, no jewelry. Lilly put a round thing around her head before getting in. That is the base to the hood she wore in the chamber. Next pic is the chamber. We got in and they "dove down" ~16ft. They gave us all gum and said to swallow every 15 sec. Lilly wasn't bothered b/c she has tubes in her ears. I finally got the hang of clearing my ears by the afternoon. Once there, they placed a plastic hood over her head. Just think of the bubble boy on Seinfeld! We were in there about 1 1/2 hrs. We watched Miss Congeniality today. Lilly mainly tried to figure out how to put the hood in her mouth. We then went to therapy and then came back for another treatment @ 1:00. We will keep you posted of progress. There is no magic number so we'll wait and see!!
We got to use the suit today! Lilly was a little unsure but did really well. Everyone said she would be exhausted and she is!! She did a lot of standing. I think she is going to like this walking thing. We have to crawl though. She walked in the gait trainer again and this time she didn't cry till the last 5 min. She did some great, great side lying to sitting with little help. Tiffany said she thinks she will be able to go from lying to sitting to lying on her own. That will be fantastic!!
Thank you everybody for all your comments. I check the computer a lot. Not much on TV (except for Biggest Loser Finale tonight, don't call!! : ) It makes me feel not so far away when I hear from you. Oh..I am having camera battery charger issues so I only have the two pictures today. Everybody have a great night!! Tara
