Sunday was day one of FREE HAIRCUTS and WOW were we busy!! Have I told you Tana how much I love you lately?? My sister cut hair from 11- 7:30!! Straight!! And Krista...she owns the salon...worked on walk ins from 1-5:30! Straight! Thank you ladies so much for putting your shoulders and arms through such a long day. I was blown away by the outpouring of love. I am every time we have a fundraiser! We had a couple of families that didn't even know us. So thank you for putting up those fliers and telling your friends about Lilly! We almost doubled the amount of donations from day one of the last benefit we had in August! God is so good!! When people ask me how much money we need for Lilly's treatments, the look on their face is priceless. They ask how in the world do you come up with the money? God always makes a way and comes through every time!! Now don't forget about day 2 of FREE HAIRCUTS! That is on the 22nd and you can call to make appt or just walk in. If you don't make an appointment there might be a wait. Just to let you know! We had so much fun! Snacks, cookies and even some video of Lilly's past therapy sessions. People really enjoyed watching that! Come and bring a friend!
We are also having a garage sale sometime in April or first of May. If you would like to donate anything let me know. Big or small, we'll take it all!! More to come later about that.
If forgot to mention that we have changed the dates of Lilly's next session. We will start hbot on May 25 and finish PT on June 19. We did this so Gunnar can come and stay more and not have to be moved around back home. He is such a great kid!! A lot is asked of him when we are gone those 4 weeks and he is such a trooper about it! So he can come and enjoy time with us. Of course the idea of having a swimming pool at your front door every day sounds really good to him!
Lilly is doing great in therapy! We have started to work on crawling. It is coming along and her therapist is very excited about her progress! It is really hard to see her struggle though. Sometimes she grunts with every push of the arms. Her toddler personality is starting to emerge! Not in a good way though. She can be very strong willed at times when she doesn't want to do something. She is giving her therapists at school a run for their money! She tests us all to see how little she can get away with. Lazy Lilly is truly the most fitting nickname!
I'll keep you all posted on the upcoming fundraisers! Thank you again for you support, prayers and encouragement!!
