Great Day...Hopefully a Breakthrough

Lilly had a big day in PT and OT today! We have been working on walking in her gait trainer. She has been doing the stepping great but we hadn't been able to get her to actually push it herself. Today she did!! She wasn't real excited about it but she did push it and take 4 or 5 steps before she stopped and pitched a fit! She did that about 5 or 6 different times. I have never been more proud and her mimi was there to witness it. My mom loved that! Of course the video camera wasn't there....I know....bad mom. She is a little unsure of it when the walker gets ahead of her. That's when she stops and screams. And I mean TICKED OFF scream! OT started off good too. Lilly doesn't like to be on her hands and knees and usually collapses at the arms and straightens out her legs in protest. Sarah took the option away and lifted up her legs (remember the wheel barrow race? Like that.) Lilly stayed up on her hands for 19 seconds! Of course the next time she had figured out the game and didn't want to play. She is our LAZY LILLY!
